Maya Menon ( Vidya Balan) is a wealthy, successful and hard-hitting honest, powerful TV journalist, who has good morals. She hosts a popular TV show that is appropriately titled “Face The Truth” and has a celebrity status that is also sought-after by her colleagues, peers and younger people alike. When it comes to her personal life, she has her son Ayush who has cerebral palsy and her mother. She has an intimate relationship with her manager. Maya is on good relationship with her ex-husband. He’s happily married to his present Russian wife, and they have a son. Overall her life is perfect until one night of gloomy luck Maya sleeps in her car as she drives back home from work late. In the process, she hits a little girl who appears right just in front of the vehicle seemingly out of thin air. Following the accident, she stops, and observes a person who is fleeing from the scene. She gets scared and leaves to the location of the crash unaware that the entire incident is recorded on the nearby CCTV camera.
